The Sointu cardigan is a modern, structured wool cardigan made from 100% merino wool, effortlessly combining relaxed comfort with a polished look. The loose, slightly boxy fit brings lightness and ease to the outfit while still maintaining a structured and refined appearance. Made from high-quality, mulesing-free merino wool, the knit feels soft against the skin and breathes naturally, making it comfortable to wear across different seasons. Thanks to merino wool, the cardigan does not make you feel sweaty, but adapts to any situation — from cool mornings to warmer days.

The three-quarter sleeves and Crew neck bring freshness to the look and make the cardigan especially effective for layering. Sointu is easy to throw over a summer dress, pair with jeans, or use to finish a light office outfit. The classic button fastening at the front gives you the option to vary the style: wear the knit open for a relaxed look, or fasten just the top button for an airy yet considered expression. The softness of merino wool is determined by the thickness of its fibers, measured in microns. The smaller the micron count, the softer the feel of the merino wool product.

Unlike many other merino wool brands, we use only the finest merino wool fibers in our products. This way, we can guarantee that our merino wool garments provide unbeatable comfort and a luxuriously soft feel that lasts over time.

Care Instructions

Hand wash
Take good care of your merino wool garment with gentle care — and extend its lifespan at the same time!

1. Fresh air is merino wool’s best friend! Air the garment regularly and wash only when needed. Hand wash in lukewarm water (max. 30 °C) with wool detergent. Avoid rubbing and wringing, and rinse gently in water of the same temperature.

2. Remove excess water by gently pressing — do not twist. Reshape the garment while damp and dry flat, for example on a towel.

3. Avoid tumble drying, as it can damage the delicate merino wool fiber. If needed, you can steam or iron the garment on one dot (max. 110 °C).
