NORTH OUTDOOR – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T&C)
1. Contractual Partners and Scope
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made in the North Outdoor online shop (northoutdoor.com). The shop is operated by:

For contracts with consumers, the consumer protection laws of the European Union as well as these terms apply. For business customers, these terms apply primarily, and Finnish law applies secondarily.
2. Ordering
Orders can be placed as a registered user or as a guest. By placing an order, you accept these terms and confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Persons acting on behalf of a company confirm that they have the necessary authority to place the order.
3. Formation of Contract
A binding contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation via email. We reserve the right to refuse an order for a valid reason (e.g., unavailability of goods or payment difficulties). In the event of obvious pricing or information errors, we reserve the right to cancel the order.
4. Prices, Payment, and Delivery
Prices are stated in Euros (EUR) and include the statutory value-added tax (VAT). Delivery methods and the associated costs are displayed in the shopping cart before the payment process is completed.
For deliveries outside the EU, the customer is responsible for any customs duties and taxes. The risk passes to the customer once the shipment has been handed over to the recipient or a collection point.
5. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
Consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal starting from the receipt of the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unequivocal statement (e.g., by email or via our return portal). To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Refund of Payments: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
Return Costs: In the event of withdrawal, the customer is responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods, which amount to €5. This amount will be deducted from the refund. A size exchange is free of charge once within 14 days.
Condition of Goods and Diminished Value: You have the right to examine the goods as you would in a physical store. However, you are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling of the goods other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. We reserve the right to deduct a corresponding amount for diminished value from the refund.
Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal: The right of withdrawal does not apply, unless otherwise agreed, to the following contracts:
- Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized.
- Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
- Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.
- Alcoholic beverages, the price of which has been agreed upon at the time of the conclusion of the contract, but which can only be delivered after 30 days and the actual value of which depends on market fluctuations.
- Sealed audio or video recordings or sealed computer software which were unsealed after delivery.
- Newspapers, periodicals, or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts.
6. Liability for Defects and Complaints
Statutory liability for defects applies. Please inform us of any discovered defects within a reasonable period at shop@northoutdoor.com.
7. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy: northoutdoor.com/pages/privacy-policy.
8. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
Finnish law applies to these terms. Disputes are primarily resolved through negotiation. Consumers have the right to submit the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We are neither obliged nor committed to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
