Why merino wool in underwear?
Merino is naturally antibacterial: the fibre reacts with oxygen and evaporates odour molecules. In practice this means the same garment can be worn several times without starting to smell. Fewer washes means a longer life.
Does merino suit sensitive skin?
Yes. Itch comes from fibres thicker than 30 microns, which do not bend against the skin. The merino in our base layers measures 17.5–19.5 microns. In the Sensitive range, the surface against the skin is 100 % bamboo viscose, so the skin does not touch wool at all.
How do you wash merino underwear?
Machine wash at 30 degrees on the wool or delicate cycle, using a wool detergent with a pH of 7 or lower. A laundry bag protects the knit. No fabric softener, no tumble dryer.
