Does a merino wool skirt work in summer too?
Yes, if the knit is fine. Merino wool moves moisture away from the skin and feels dry to the touch, so a lightweight merino skirt is cooler in summer than many synthetic alternatives. Heavier styles are the autumn and winter choice.
How do you style a merino wool skirt?
Merino knit drapes beautifully and holds its shape with wear, so the same skirt works at the office and off duty. In winter, merino base layer leggings underneath keep the whole outfit warm without added bulk.
Does a wool skirt stretch out with wear?
The crimp in merino wool measures 80–150 degrees per millimetre, which means the fibre acts like a small spring and returns to shape. That's why merino knit holds its form markedly better than cashmere or alpaca.
How do you wash a merino wool skirt?
At 30°C on a wool or delicates programme, with a wool detergent at pH 7 or below. No fabric softener and no tumble dryer. Dry flat. Most of the time no wash is needed at all – airing is enough.
