The world's finest merino wool accessories are produced locally at North Outdoor's own knitting mill in Finland. We use only the highest quality merino wool yarn, ensuring that the knit maintains its shape in both use and washing. The product is machine washable and holds up well, but seldom needs washing, thanks to the self-cleaning properties of antibacterial merino wool. All products from our knitting mill are 100% merino wool and responsibly made. The eco-friendliness of our products is enhanced by our own production, which minimizes excess material, as products are knitted to their correct size directly, instead of being cut. This process ensures both top quality and environmental sustainability.

Take care of your merino wool garment with gentle handling – it will also extend the lifespan of your garment!

1. Fresh air is merino wool's best friend! Air out the garment regularly and wash only when necessary. Use wool detergent and a delicate wash at 30 degrees celsius with the lightest spin cycle, and remember to turn the garment inside out during washing.
2. Avoid tumble drying, as it can damage the delicate merino wool fibers. Instead of tumble dry, shape the merino garment when damp and dry it flat, for example, on top of a towel.
3. If needed, you can steam or iron the merino garment on low heat (maximum 110 °C).
